The newcomers
The new additions bring both firepower and fresh perspectives. A few standouts:
- Revent (Germany) – Berlin’s impact-only VC, backing companies like Tomorrow Bank (ethical fintech), Sylvera (carbon credit ratings), and Cylib (EV battery recycling).
- SET Ventures (Netherlands) – a clean energy specialist backing companies like Instagrid (portable battery systems), Easelink (wireless EV charging), and Hydrogrid (AI for hydropower).
- Clean Growth Fund (UK) – driving cleantech scale-ups like Carbon Re (AI for cement decarbonisation) and Sunswap (battery refrigeration).
- Norselab (Norway) – impact-first fund building the Nordics’ ocean and agritech champions, from Nofence (virtual fencing) to Ava Ocean (sustainable fisheries).
- Systemiq Capital (UK) – born out of sustainability think-tank Systemiq, with a portfolio spanning Charm Industrial (bio-oil carbon removal) and NatureMetrics (DNA-based biodiversity monitoring).
