Scoop: Oklo-backed Blykalla secures €33m for mini nuclear reactors
Swedish nuclear startup Blykalla, backed by Sam Altman's nuclear darling Oklo, has pulled in €33m in new funding to fuel its mini-reactor ambitions, Impact Loop can reveal.<br>

Swedish small modular reactor (SMR) startup Blykalla has raised around €33mn in a new share issue, according to company filings seen by Impact Loop.
The capital increase follows a recent partnership and a €4.1m investment from US-based Oklo, a nuclear energy company backed by OpenAI founder Sam Altman.
The two firms operate in the same sector, though Blykalla’s CEO Jacob Stedman previously told Impact Loop that while they “may compete for customers in the future,” the collaboration also offers “much to gain.”
According to information from the company database, Blykalla is now valued at around €100m post-money.
Blykalla declined to comment.
The company's ownership list already includes Norrsken Launcher, the US nuclear investor Nucleation Capital and Izettle founder Jacob de Geer.
A total of 38 existing and new investors are entitled to subscribe for shares, according to minutes from company's most recent general meeting.
