Nordic Capital launches €500m impact fund – here’s what they’re looking for
Nordic Capital is half way towards its €500m Article 9 impact fund. Here’s what they’re looking to invest in.

Nordic Capital is raising a new Article 9 climate fund, Elevate, targeting €500mn, in what would be one of the larger dedicated impact vehicles in the region. The fund is designed to sit alongside the firm’s flagship Fund XII, which is seeking up to €10bn.
Elevate has secured €250mn at first close and is now pursuing the remainder, Bloomberg reported.
Nordic Capital declined Impact Loop's request for comment, citing regulatory constraints.
The new fund will focus on decarbonisation, circularity and health-related technologies – areas where the firm has already built a track record through investments in Sortera, Foxway, Autocirc and Sensio.
Around six investment professionals will reportedly staff the Elevate team, led by partner Andreas Näsvik. They will be supported by Nordic Capital’s existing five-person sustainability group, which works across all of the firm’s vehicles as is headed by Elin Ljung.
