Volvo Group backs Dutch hydrofoil startup: 'Powerful catalyst for growth'

Flying Fish, based in the Netherlands, focuses on creating integrated software and hardware systems for eco-friendly water transportation. Their innovations are designed to support efficient, shared, and zero-emission marine operations using hydrofoil technology and smart fleet management products.

Now, the company gets funding from CPAC Systems, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group. The sum is undisclosed. Flying Fish says the funding will enable further growth, research and development, and expansion into new markets.

The two companies will also explore selected product integrations, leveraging their combined strengths in onboard digital platforms, fleet management, and intelligent vessel control.
