Exclusive: Electric freight company Einride raises fresh millions

Einride is one of Sweden's most well-known impact and mobility companies, with a technology platform that spans autonomous vehicles, electrification, charging infrastructure, and freight transport software.

According to local media, the company has secured a total of €45m in new funding through two convertible loans. EQT Ventures and the American firm Capital Group are said to be among the investors. However, this has never been confirmed by the company itself.

Impact Loop can now reveal that the company has carried out a new share issue of €8,5m.

Einride’s co-founder and former CEO Robert Falck confirms in a text message to Impact Loop that the registered round is "part of the ongoing fundraising process."

The share issue was carried out at a post-money valuation of €1b, according to information filed with the Swedish Companies Registration Office.

The registered share issue could therefore be part of this larger capital raise.

Working towards IPO

In May, news broke that Robert Falck was stepping down as CEO after nearly ten years, to instead become chairman of the board. His successor is Roozbeh Charli, who has served as the company’s CFO since 2019.

In an interview with Impact Loop in May, Robert Falck said that revenues for 2024 had doubled compared to the previous year, reaching around €45m i turnover. He confirmed that the company is "actively working" on a stock market listing and that "we are in need of continued financing."
